Mike has 20 years of experience, with half running the Data Network Engineering and Architecture Group at Charter Communications, and half serving as VP of Systems Engineering and Architecture at CommScope. He served as Chair for IEEE 1904.1 SIEPON WG - Task Force 4 System and Device Management. He was appointed by MSO leaders to serve as co-chair of the CableLabs standards program, Flexible MAC Architecture (FMA) WG. This position was a first to be awarded to a vendor, and in this role, he is responsible for leading the specification work for the complete disaggregation of the CCAP. He has presented to a Head of State, the FCC, service providers, financial analysts, and at conferences worldwide. He has published over 100 papers and articles. Mike has served on technical advisory and certification boards. He earned a BS in Management Information Systems and Cisco Certification. He holds many U.S. patents and was awarded the SCTE’s “IP Innovator of the Year Award”.
