Craig Cuttner is senior vice president, Technology Development and Standards, for Home Box Office, Inc., responsible for technology standards and industry liaison. He participates in the planning of distribution technology architecture used to serve HBO’s core and new business platforms. Cuttner has been active in HDTV since the late 1980s, contributing to many aspects of HDTV industry-wide. He has also been involved in strategic work since the mid 1990’s on video on demand, including the technical deployment of HBO On Demand and Cinemax On Demand. He was named a Fellow in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers in 2000, SCTE Engineering Committee, and is chair of SCTE Digital Video Subcommittee Working Group 1 on Audio/Video Encoding and HDR Drafting Group. Cuttner has over one dozen patents and patents pending. Cuttner holds a BS degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech.
