After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Braunschweig, Germany, and University of Waterloo, Canada, Thorsten Osterhage did a PhD in Mechanical Engineering about High Pressure Gas Seals and a degree in Economics at the University of Hagen, Germany. He started his career in 2001 at Alstom Power as Project Leader for low pressure steam turbine validation. In 2007 he became Product Manager for steam turbines and later for gas turbines. Since 2011 he is Product Manager for technology projects and new gas turbine developments. After the acquisition of Alstom advanced heavy duty gas turbine technology and assets, Thorsten Osterhage is today the Product Manager for the new GT36 within Ansaldo Energia, located in Baden, Switzerland.
