Author of the award-winning book Feeding the Hungry Ghost: Life, Faith and What to Eat for Dinner, Ellen Kanner has been called “the entertaining and lovable voice for plant-based food,” (Edible South Florida), “hot vegan chef” (Thrive Magazine) and “an elfin, vegan Oprah” (James Beard award-winner Norman Van Aken). In addition to Feeding the Hungry Ghost ,(VegNews book of the year, PETA Book Club debut pick), Ellen is the longtime syndicated McClatchy columnist the Edgy Veggie, frequent contributor to over a dozen outlets including Huffington Post, Civil Eats and VegNews and author of e-book Beans: A Handful of Magic. She has developed recipes for major brands including California Walnuts, Soom and Rancho Gordo and, taking that legume love and running with it, serves as ambassador for the American Pulse Association, is Gourmet Guru for the Global Pulse Confederation and is the creator and founder of Pulse Innovation Miami. Ellen has been featured in outlets including MindBody Green, Psychology Today, the Miami Herald and Veganuary and presents to international corporate groups, universities and at sustainability, wellness and vegan summits on issues related to veganism, kitchen literacy, conscious, sensual eating, sustainability and farm to table.
