Leopoldo Rodríguez serves as Deputy Director General for Energía Eléctrica BAL where is responsible for the development of power generation projects, based on a mix of conventional and renewable energy technologies such as wind, solar, hydro, cogeneration and other. Previously he served as Renewable Energy Manager for Industrias Peñoles for the 2005-2016 period. He also served as Senior Associate for Arthur D. Little (ADL) Mexico, then Charles River Associates and was President of Energy Saving Central. Also held some engineering positions at Philips and Condumex. Since April 2016 is President of the Mexican Wind Energy Association (AMDEE) and so was he for the 2011-2013 period. Is Member of the Board, and of the Latinamerican Board of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), President of the Clean Energy committee of the Business Council for Sustainable Development, Mexico (CESPEDES), Member of the United States – México Energy Business Council. Has been member of the private sector advisory team for the negotiation of the México-Canada-US Trade Agreement. Mr. Rodriguez holds a MBA (Honors) from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México – ITAM and a BA in Mechanical and Electrical Engineer (Honors) from Universidad La Salle (Mexico City).
