Fred has served as Director of the Barrington, Illinois Public Works Department since 2022, and has also served as Director of Public Works, Streets Superintendent and Superintendent of Public Works with the Village of Niles, Illinois. Fred has continually promoted the use of technology to improve maintenance and customer service. Fred has led departments who have received numerous awards including the APWA Excellence in Snow and Ice Control, APWA Management Innovation and IDOT/FHWA Build a Better Mousetrap awards.
