Morris Adjmi founded his firm in 1997 following a 13-year collaboration with Pritzker Prizewinning architect, Aldo Rossi. Morris Adjmi Architects (MA) is known for its thoughtful engagement with history, distinct interpretation of industrial forms, and creative expression of materials. MA has five million square feet of completed space and another ten million in the works. Notable New York buildings include the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, 837 Washington (also known as Samsung 837), and The Sterling Mason, a condominium in Tribeca. MA has built projects in Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., and has more underway in Atlanta, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Miami, and Tampa. MA has won more than 25 design awards and was recently included on the 2019 “Top 50” list of interior architects and designers named by AN Interior, the sister publication of The Architect’s Newspaper. MA recently opened an office in Morris’ native New Orleans. Over the past decade, the firm has grown from 20 employees to over 100.
