Erick is a citizen of the Mvskoke (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma from the Rekackv (Broken Arrow) Tribal Town and the Katcv (Big Cat/Tiger/Panther) Clan. He advises Native American governments and their enterprises on a wide range of policy and economic development matters, including alcohol manufacturing, cannabis development, land use, gaming, and tax issues. His work on cannabis matters include development and analysis of cannabis laws and businesses for Tribal clients in seven states.
