The inner core, also coated with magnesium, absorbs, circulates and releases heat quicker, drying and styling the hair in less time; as magnesium works to increase the power of the heat by 45% over aluminum and other metals. The inner core also keeps the boar and nylon bristles from falling out. Boar bristles in an aerated brush are unusual, but they help hold the hair to the brush.
