Dynamic Attractions Expands Services with new Creative Studio

Offers More In-house Design, Media, Previsualization, Mock-up Space

Berlin, Germany (September 26, 2017) --- Expanding once again, Dynamic Attractions launches the Creative Studio, a new department that will serve as the design arm of the Unlimited Attractions division that delivers comprehensive, “turnkey” attraction design and fabrication for clients around the world.  “We are putting the ‘Attraction’ into our name Dynamic Attractions in a big way,” CEO Guy Nelson explains as he introduces the Dynamic Attractions Creative Studio. Their mission is to help client’s guests connect with the story through the integration of ride system, theming, design, and media.

“Our most helpful tool is our actual mock-up space,” George Walker, SVP of Creative Services explains.  “The Creative Studio will help clients realize their vision by physically testing the attraction elements before they are in the field.  The knowledge that comes from this allows us to provide even better design services, drawing packages, media and animatic production, and previsualization -- all of which leads to a better integration with the ride system, even if it isn’t our ride system, or if there is no ride system at all.”

Media production is a key element of the expansion.  Drawing on his background in design, gaming, and visual effects, Steve Warner, Director of Creative Services, has put together a five-star team able to produce state-of-the-art animatics and attraction media. “Using new technologies our clients can better understand what the film experience will be like before the ride has even been built,” Steve describes.  “Take for instance our newly developed proprietary VR system for Flying Theaters that allows you to view the media virtually, from every seat, with all the curvature and lenses modeled to replicate real-life conditions. This way, the show programmers can fine-tune the ride equipment’s motion profile long before installation has even started, leading to cost and time savings, while improving the final product. This is just one of the many ways our Creative Studio has enhanced our ability as a company to deliver the world-class attractions people have come to expect from Dynamic Attractions.”

Cindy Emerick, Vice President of Business Development explains, “Sometimes clients need help in the early stages, figuring out what they want, and have come to us to develop those ideas for them.  Other times our design firm partners ask for more direct involvement as they work with the clients on their master plans.”

Having a creative design team right next to our engineers, in addition to expanded mock-up facilities, gives Dynamic Attractions enhanced ability to bridge the creative with the technical not only to create, but to build and perfect designs before they leave the facility.  By melding these disciplines from the beginning, the company is better able to create amazing attractions that will have guests coming back time and time again.
