"When I did my research, the one thing that came up again and again was that customers and make-up artists want makeup that is easy to carry around and simple to apply," says Suzanne Carter, the Canadian inventor behind M·Y·O (mi–yo) Cosmetic Cases. She couldn’t find one that was sustainable, high quality, yet simple to use. She enlisted a team of professional makeup artists and design engineers to create the M·Y·O Cosmetic Clutch, the first in a line of next-generation cosmetic cases.
Her team created a clutch that delivers on the top three things women desire when it comes to their makeup regimes—streamlined organization, the chance to create space and the luxury of time saved. In 2017, cosmetic companies are increasingly offering on-the-go and eco-friendly single refill makeup products to reduce waste and allow customers greater flexibility. M·Y·O Cosmetic Clutches are flexible enough to hold pan makeup and accommodate creams, lotions and powders using the refillable M·Y·O Beauty Pods™. The pods are made of medical grade plastic, are FDA compliant keeping cosmetics hygienic and safe and made in the USA.
The M·Y·O case was designed with the user in mind. An innovative pliable gasket saves your purse in the unlikely event that your makeup breaks. Two flexible divider sticks create separate compartments when the lid is closed, assisting to prevent cross contamination.
