Since 2011, we’ve shipped over 75,000 spools; 96% have arrived per the client’s installation schedule and less than 1% have had quality-related issues. Ahern utilizes 20 acres of laydown yard and 172,000 square feet of production space to fabricate piping systems ranging from ½” to 144” in diameter and up to 4” in pipe wall thickness. Our shop includes segregated fabrication bays for carbon, stainless, chrome moly, and other specialty alloys in addition to a blast facility and paint facility.
When you work with Ahern you get a full team of dedicated quality control inspectors who hold extensive quality related certifications. Ahern provides a wide variety of non-destructive, in-house quality control testing including hydrostatic testing, dye penetrant and magnetic particle testing, radiography, and positive material identification. Since 2012, our ASME Certified Welders have completed over 146,000 x-ray views with an average passing rate of 98%.
Ahern’s pipe fabrication division provides piping spools to a wide range of customers and markets including power generation, chemical, food and beverage, refinery, automotive, oil & gas, and many more. From a power plant in California to a wastewater treatment plant in New York, Ahern’s quality pipe spools are serving clients nationwide. Ahern has provided piping systems to 49 U.S. states and 8 international countries. In the last 3 years, we have completed work on 28 power generation projects that contribute a total of 26,786 Megawatts to the power grid.
