Within Optics, we provide leading-edge equipment for coating products from ophthalmic lenses to optical filters for telecommunications, laser optics, IR optics, EUV and DUV lithography, and microscopy. These high end filters are produced either by sputtering in our NESSY, HELIOS and STARpro tools, or plasma ion assisted evaporation in our flagship SyrusPro. High layer quality and stability is guaranteed through the use of the Leybold Advanced Plasma Source (APS).

The 3D division supplies equipment optimized for coating complex 3-dimensional parts such as car headlight reflectors, mobile phone covers, and cosmetic packaging. The latest processes include non conductive metallization, color coatings, and wipe resist metallization. The Display and Glass unit supplies large in-line systems using vertical (Pegasus) or horizontal (Apollon) geometries. Pegasus coats glass substrates up to Gen 6, while the Apollon handles substrates up to 6m x 3.1m with a Tact time of only 28 seconds. Our Web unit produces high throughput roll-to-roll coating systems for metallization of food packaging, and production of thin film capacitors.
