Principle of Operation: The Delcom family of conductance monitors use a caliper type sensor head to induce and measure a circulating eddy current in the conductive material. This technology has many advantages over alternative methods of measuring sheet conductance such as physically probing the material. These advantages are as follows:
- Noncontact & nondestructive
- Continuous and instantaneous readings.
- Ability to determine the bulk conductance of a sample even when it is coated with a non-conductive layer.
