AWW Mission: Honoring our four-legged and winged heroes who have served so valiantly in war and peacetime with Monuments, a Medal, and a Museum
AWW has built 3 national monuments to the USMC Korean War horse, Sgt Reckless, with 3 more to be installed by Spring 2020. To underscore America's appreciation of the sacrifices of our American animals who served, we are instituting the Animals in War & Peace Medal of Bravery, the first to be awarded November 14, 2019 on Capitol Hill. This will be commensurate to the British Dickin Medal, "the Victoria Cross for Animals." To forever memorialize these heroes and their history, AWW seeks to build the International War Animals Museum.
