BSS-Brazilian Spine Society
The Brazilian Spine Society - BSS is an entity that represents about 1,100 Brazilians spine surgeons (orthopedists and neurosurgeons). Founded in 1994, it operates in the areas of continuing education and medical update. It has 23 accredited training services for spine surgeons in Brazil. Edits a scientific journal called Coluna / Column with three international bibliographic indexations. Promotes the Brazilian Congress of Column every 2 years.
The current president biennium 2017-2018 is Dr. Edson Pudles, graduation and medical residency at the Evangelical Medicine College in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, works at the Evangelical University Hospital of Curitiba, São Vicente Hospital in Curitiba, teaching assistant at the Evangelical Medicine College of Paraná and instructor of medicine residency in orthopedics and traumatology of the Universitary Evangelical Hospital in Curitiba.
