The EOS platform is a unique combination of low dose 2D/3D imaging technology, software and services that add value to each step of the musculoskeletal patient care pathway. From diagnosis to long term follow-up, EOS provides full body, 2D/3D images and patient-specific data sets to plan and control surgeries based on 3D anatomical models in a weight-bearing position. EOS uses two image acquisition systems to provide biplanar, simultaneous frontal and lateral images in either a standing or seated position. The 3D models and accurate 2D/3D patient-specific data sets generated by the sterEOS software, or EOS 3D Services, are then used for the EOSapps, an online suite of 3D surgical planning solutions for the spine, hip and knee. EOSapps allows you to select and position implants based on your patient’s unique 3D anatomy while visualizing the post-operative results in real-time, including its impact on key clinical parameters of the patient.
