Scantarp specializes in the production of technical fabrics coated with either PVC or a mixture of PVC/PU. Scantarp is the market leader in Northern Europe. Our specialty is the production of a wide range of custom tailored fabric qualities combined with excellent service. As a subcontractor to our customers, we also manufacture finished products using high frequency technology.
The coating of technical fabrics by Scantarp goes back to the late 1950´s, when the plastic industry in Kuopio, Finland, was born. Over the years, Scantarp has grown through investing constantly in its production technology and knowhow. Scantarp is also a member of the Responsible Care initiative which drives the company towards sustainable development.
In 2016 Scantarp reached a turnover of roughly 14,8 M€ and is employing on average about 75 people. The company exports about 65% of its turnover, primarily to European countries and Russia.
