Aura Wireless is the company that solved the problem the rest of the wireless industry has been ignoring for decades.
Every Wi-Fi and CBRS deployment in the world is governed by the same physics constraint: coverage is not determined by how far an access point can throw a signal. It is determined by how far a client device can answer back. A smartphone. A handheld scanner. An IoT sensor. Client devices are low-power by design. No matter how powerful your access point, if the client can't return the signal, the connection fails. This is the root cause of dead zones, dropped connections and the endless cycle of adding more access points to cover the same ground.
Aura Wireless built its entire product platform around solving this problem at the physics level.
The Apogee™ Antenna Platform
The Apogee™ is not an access point. It is a patented antenna system engineered around four core innovations that collectively define what we call The Science of Scale™.
Asymmetric Gain™ is the foundational breakthrough. Apogee delivers 24 dBi of receive gain while maintaining an FCC-compliant 9 dBi transmit gain. That lets the antenna hear the whisper of a low-power device from distances impossible for any conventional access point. A single Apogee can extend the usable range of Wi-Fi and CBRS by up to 1,000%.
Full Beamwidth Gain™ ensures the 9 dBi passive peak transmit gain is consistent across the entire coverage beamwidth, not just at the center. Conventional antennas drop off sharply at the edges. Apogee does not.
Steep Power Filters actively suppress interference across the RF environment, making Apogee highly effective in noisy industrial settings and urban environments where competing signals degrade performance.
Hybrid Polarization™ addresses multi-path fading, the signal degradation caused by reflections in metal-dense environments like warehouses, distribution centers and rail yards. By combining multiple polarization planes, Apogee maintains signal integrity in exactly the environments where conventional Wi-Fi fails most visibly.
Together, these four innovations allow a single Apogee to replace up to 90% of the access points a traditional deployment would require. That cuts hardware cost, installation labor, cabling and ongoing maintenance in proportion. For the people who design and build the physical layer, it means fewer cable runs, fewer drops, fewer switch ports and less pathway to engineer, pull, terminate and certify.
Proven at Scale
Aura Wireless is a deployed, proven platform operating across some of the most demanding environments in the country: university campuses, working farms, the largest distribution networks, intermodal rail yards and government security operations in the United States.
At Prairie View A&M University, a single Apogee deployment connected a 1,000-acre smart farm, enabling IoT soil sensors, RFID livestock tracking, drone surveying and autonomous equipment across terrain no conventional Wi-Fi could reach economically.
At Tarleton State University, Apogee covers outdoor campus and athletic operations across large-format facilities with a fraction of the infrastructure a conventional design would require.
At Legendz Way Distribution Services, Apogee covers 750,000 square feet of active warehouse space with four AP locations. Metal-dense. High interference. Handheld scanners stay connected at every dock door and every aisle, every shift.
Beyond those named deployments, Apogee is trusted at scale across the full spectrum of enterprise and government: Fortune 50 retailers standardizing on Apogee across thousands of locations, critical infrastructure operators connecting intermodal rail yards and industrial facilities that span dozens of acres and government agencies from municipal to federal, where the network cannot go down.
The Product Family
The Apogee product line covers every large-scale deployment scenario. The Apogee 180 delivers 180-degree coverage in a plug-and-play form factor for parking lots, warehouses and outdoor venues. The Apogee 180MP is built for multi-path mitigation in metal-dense environments. The Apogee 360 provides full omnidirectional coverage for expansive open-area deployments. The Apogee Converge is our flagship software-defined phased array, merging Private LTE (CBRS / Band 48) and Wi-Fi 5/6 into a single antenna. It is the most powerful convergence platform available for large-scale outdoor and industrial deployments.
