Salba Smart was founded in 2006 with the goal of providing a smarter chia seed that was nutritionally consistent enough for clinical trials. Salba chia is two registered varieties of chia seeds with consistent nutritional/EFA content and liquid absorption allowing ease of formulation. Salba Smart is a vertical chia company that is partnered in ownership with our growers. Both our conventional and certified organic Salba chia seeds are grown sustainably in the highest organic standard.
Salba chia is sold in both retail and bulk packaging. Our retail product line includes conventional and organic whole chia seeds and ground chia seeds in both pouches and individual serving packs. We offer our bulk/ingredient products in both organic and conventional which are sold in the following formats: whole seed, milled seed, extra fine milled seed, sprouted seed, and sprouted milled seed.
