Belvas has been active for 10 years in the artisanal production and distribution of Organic certified Belgian chocolates sourced from Fairtrade. What differentiates Belvas from the other chocolatiers is the purity of the ingredients, both through the chocolate (72% and more – high quality beans originating from Peru) as through the fillings (hazelnuts from Piemonte region, Almonds from Lazio, Pistachios from Bronte, Sicilia). Belvas wants that the consumer who buys a product by conviction for fair trade returns to fair trade by conviction for taste. The distribution network is mainly in specialized natural and organic shops. It has been developed over the years to a growing number of countries. This combination of products and distribution channels has given Belvas a unique position amongst the Belgian chocolatiers. This particular market segment has driven Belvas to a number of product innovations which today present an important potential of growth.
In 2015, Belvas has launched its brand new handmade artisanal snack, the “Belgian Thins” – a great alternative to the traditional chocolate bar. Organic, Vegan and Full traceable from farmer to the consumer.
