Harvest foods was established in 1988 as a canning plant providing a range of canned food such as Beans, Peas, Stuffed Leave Vine and tomato paste. Early in 2005, harvest foods was able to acquire El Bawadi Company in Alexandria. El Bawadi produce sesame products like Halawa (sesame based confectionery), Tahina (sesame paste), and sugar cane syrup (Molasses).
