They say bread is life. At Boulart, we couldn’t agree more. Boulart is a North American industrial artisan bakery, with some 32 types of premium bread products. Based in Lachine, QC, the company was founded by Michel Saillant in 2007. At Boulart, our breads are all about making the moment – bringing families and food lovers together around the table in a celebration of food and life.



Boulart prides itself on a transparent approach to bread production, using no preservatives, additives, or added sugar in our bread. Founder Michel Saillant believes it takes more than flour, water, yeast and salt to make a truly classic loaf – it takes time. Boulart’s unique long fermentation process lends itself to subtle flavours and aromas, while improving product resilience. The loaves are fully baked at our state-of-the-art, 125,000 sq. ft. production facilities in Lachine, QC, before they undergo a specialized blast-freezing process to ensure a long shelf life without compromising quality. Boulart recently set new industry standards by acquiring a Non-GMO Project Verified status, becoming one of the first industrial artisan bakeries to gain this designation for such a robust range of premium bread products.
