Carelle launched in New York City under the leadership of award winning jewelry designer Chana Regev. The name comes from the French “car elle,” which means "because of her." Carelle jewelry is meticulously handcrafted in 18 karat gold and the finest diamonds and gemstones in the New York City design studio. In 2016, Carelle was the first-ever jewelry brand awarded a mark of distinction from the film and fashion “Made in New York” initiative. As a supporter of the WJA, Chana Regev has championed the advancement of women in the jewelry industry through her Carelle-WJA Grant in Honor of Brooke Tivol-McGrath, which provides a grant for a female designer in her first 5 years of business.
