When Skratch Labs' founder Dr. Allen Lim was coaching professional athletes, he found that their single biggest complaint was that sports nutrition products were hard on their stomachs and their palettes. Allen experimented to keep his team of cyclists well-fueled but still comfortable and happy and came to a simple and powerful conclusion: just eat real food. He started making rice cakes and hydration mixes that were as simple as possible, using only real food -- no artificial sweeteners, flavors, coloring, or protein isolates. From there, Skratch Labs was born and, seven years in, we still aim to make products that solve nutrition problems for elite and recreational athletes: hydration and fuel without no gut bomb or a lingering aftertaste.
