Stomagienics is proposing a new protocol for changing the ostomy pouch and baseplate. Ostomates struggle with uncontrolled output during the changing process, often leading to frustration, rushed process and peristomal skin complications.
Every ostomate should be trained on the technique of covering their stoma during the changing process, to capture and dispose of stoma output in a hygiene-friendly manner.
The StomaGenie® is a capture cartridge designed to capture effluent or urine during the ostomy pouch changing process. It also works great during the patient examination process when the pouch system is removed for observation or treatment of the peristomal skin. Our new paper-based cartridge is biodegradable for eco-friendly disposal.
