Two large (90-inch and 102-inch) brick storm/sanitary drains running parallel beneath a major intersection in Omaha, collapsed in 2016, necessitating an urgent, major structural rehabilitation. Following successful repair on the CSO lines, routine CCTV inspections of Omaha’s Missouri River Water Resource Recovery Facility revealed that the effluent channels from the primary clarifiers were severely damaged and degraded by microbial corrosion and would have to be rehabilitated on a near-emergency basis to keep a larger capacity increase project on track. This presentation will detail steps taken to structurally rehabilitate the involved infrastructure assets.
