Climate Risk and Resilience: What Does it Mean for Your Portfolio? (Room Salt Palace, Room 251A)

Last year alone, the United States spent more than $300 billion for national disaster related costs and cleanup and rebuilding – making it the most expensive year ever recorded. Properties, investors, and markets will continue to be adversely impacted without appropriate risk assessment and mitigation; and building owners and operators are placing more emphasis on understanding the potential impact that climate risks pose on their assets. In this session, national industry leaders will discuss resilience strategies being undertaken and how real estate portfolio strategies are being modified to account for climate risk and the evolving investor related demands.
