Performance Based Contracting: Measuring Success Based on Results Not Intentions (Room Salt Palace, Room 251B)

This presentation will focus on both the operational and financial benefits that are achieved through conversion to a performance based contracting model as compared to a traditional task and frequency approach. The presenters will provide actual case studies that demonstrate both improvement in the quality of services provided (as objectively measured by an external consultant) and on the positive financial impact realized from a focus on actual services required by demand rather than by time. The presenters will also discuss the benefits of including incentives (as well as penalties) within the contract and the value of creating a partnership that leads to innovation and continuous improvement.
