Michael Gill is the Director of Operations for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and is responsible for oversight of all building operations, services and maintenance for its corporate headquarters in Boston. Mike has initiated and directed numerous building upgrades to HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems and has reengineered building service contracts resulting in an improved level of energy efficiency, system and building resiliency, and environmental sustainability as well as service quality and value. The results achieved through these efforts have been recognized with building ENERGY STAR certifications for the past 8 years as well as the BOMA Boston TOBY Award in 2013. In addition to his work at the Federal Reserve Plaza since 2010, Mike served as the 2016 BOMA Boston President, as a Director on the BOMA Boston Board, was recognized as BOMA Boston’s Executive Engineer of the Year, and has chaired a number of BOMA Boston committees including the 2016 strategic planning initiative, the sustainability committee, and the education committee. Mike is a regular and highly respected instructor of BOMI courses that are required for professional designations and he mentors many future leaders of the real estate industry which includes more than 8,000 real estate professionals in the greater Boston region. Previously named Executive Engineer of the Year by BOMA Boston, Mike has 31 years of experience in the real estate industry and is a Certified Plant Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, a MA licensed Refrigeration Technician, & a LEED® AP. He is also a senior member of the Association of Energy Engineers.
