What matters in real estate investing today? This session will address this key question in both Canadian and global estate themes. Real estate still is attractive notwithstanding that every asset class is rather expensive in most markets. As a result, how does an investor make an appropriate return real estate today? Is it through M&A, value-added global investment strategies, creating a unique platform, or some other actions? Where does Canada fit into the global real estate investment landscape today? Why are some savvy international entities acquiring Canadian assets when others are selling? Global political events can also be important. Discussion will focus on what issues are topical at the time of the Forum.
