Services providers following a strategic path that prioritizes the customer experience are finding great value in the ability to proactively optimize their infrastructures. This is facilitated by finding and correlating patterns in machine-level data derived from RDK-based set-tops and gateways. Those patterns, identified by artificial intelligence (AI) engines, can predict (and thus prevent) device failures, interpret anomalies, and significantly hasten recovery when problems occur. This session will feature technology experts from Comcast and the RDK community and will explain RDK’s current access network components, including DOCSIS, DSL, and EPON/GPON. The experts will describe and evaluate current use cases that harness the advancements between machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the RDK.
