Low Latency DOCSIS: Current State and Future Vision (Room 243-244)

What's the rush!? Low latency is emerging as a vital performance metric in broadband networks, for application well beyond gaming. DOCSIS 3.1 contains a chapter on low latency, aptly named “Low latency DOCSIS,” or LLD. Where is the demand for LLD coming from and what do we need to do in order to service latency-sensitive applications? Technologists representing CableLabs and Cisco will discuss the specifications in progress and next steps for LLD.
