Low latency is one of the 4 main pillars of cable’s 10G platform. In the 10G era, as we increasingly move into cable-mobile convergence, one aspect of low latency clearly stands out as a key enabler for cost effective mobile deployment – that’s Low Latency Xhaul (LLX). LLX brings sub-5msec latency to DOCSIS for the mobile backhaul/fronthaul (collectively known as xhaul) use case to make it 5G ready.
