IT/OT Summit - Enterprise Architecture for Utilities (Room 202CD)

Enterprise Architecture has been a fixture in IT deployments for nearly three decades. The benefits of a consistent architecture across an enterprise, and the discipline to pull in all relevant stakeholders, yield system designs and deployments that are more efficient and that have an appropriate scope. Enterprise Architecture, by considering a wider range of issues early in a project, can reduce rework after a system is deployed. As utilities modernize grids, become increasingly data-drive, and run more projects that span IT and OT, now is the time to apply Enterprise Architecture approaches across both IT and OT areas. The same benefits that have accrued to IT deployments can become available to IT and OT together. This summit will include sessions on Enterprise Architecture at an electric utility, with focuses on OT and Volt/VAR deployment.
