Private and Public Options for Funding Your Broadband Deployment (Room 202A)

As we all know, deploying a broadband network is an expensive endeavor – something seemingly out of reach for many small utilities wanting to offer this important service to the homes and businesses in their service territories.  Panelists in this session will discuss the numerous programs available to utilities wishing to build and operate a broadband network.  From the ReConnect program, to new funding provided in the most recent federal farm bill, to private sector business opportunities, panelists will provide important details of these programs.  Panelists will also provide details about business model development.  Participants will understand how to utilize these programs and chart their course for deploying a broadband network.
