Tracks: Revenue Cycle Process Improvement

Using artificial intelligence (AI) and modern machine-learning (ML) algorithms, the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization has invested in technology that analyzes clinical information and intelligently predicts CPT, ICD-10 codes and modifiers (if applicable) for patient encounters in a variety of specialties. Not only have dozens of physicians been removed from the charge-capture process, but also claims with high-confidence predictions are automatically routed to the next steps in the billing process (direct to bill), thereby avoiding the delays and costs associated with manual coding. In this session, you’ll identify ways to move toward reducing administrative burden.
