Dipping into the world of “self-service” through the utilization of information technology service management tools, Lone Star College aspires to provide convenience and accessibility to its customers 24/7/365. It has advanced beyond IT by partnering with other departments to centralize service. From reporting a broken chair to requesting assistance with a malfunctioning projector, any request can be found in the compact online service portal known as the Lone Star College Service Center. Attend this session to: discover how having a robust, efficient system helps increase productivity while self-healing decreases the cost per contact-hour; understand how self-monitoring of service tickets eases the stress of knowing the status of a ticket; and learn how the integration of a knowledge base into the service center helps with decreasing turnaround time for issues.
