Tesla’s mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy through all-electric vehicles, lithium-ion battery energy storage and solar panels. And, it aims to achieve this mission all while becoming the safest car factory in the world. The ergonomics team at Tesla has had a significant role in operations and products at all stages — from the early design of Model 3 to the layout of the company’s three U.S.-based factories. This session will illustrate Tesla’s approach to ergonomics, best practices and examples of ways to launch — and sustain — a risk-based, engineering-focused ergonomics process.
