ErgoExpo 2019

OF8 | Integrating Ergonomic Requirements, Functionality, and Economics in Computer Workstation Design (Room Champagne 3-4)

Five years ago, the University of California outfitted a new administrative building with 150 new computer workstations. Most of the desks were pin height adjustable, but some were electric height adjustable. In 2019, 82 new workstations will be added using criteria recently established for all locations in the UC system. This session will unveil what lessons were learned from the equipment that was recommended five years ago, and how staff experience and feedback was incorporated into designing better workstations, all while taking cost savings into consideration.
