With 15 years of experience in new product and business development, Gary is now head engineer and president at GreenPod Coffee Packing. His expertise is in mechanical engineering and materials science. Gary works closely with leading suppliers and manufacturers of the newest compostable materials for single serve coffee pods to improve upon the current technologies available today. At GreenPod, Gary is leading the way to bring compostable pod technology to the specialty coffee industry and is focused on co-packing services that are accessible even to small batch roasters. Gary believes the way to correct course in regards to single-use plastic coffee pods, is to build demand for a better tasting product that's also compostable. If the end consumer finds there is a better option, they'll demand it, thus putting pressure on plastic pod manufacturers to make the sustainable switch.
