Laila Ghambari has been working in Specialty Coffee for nearly 20 years but you could say she was born into it. Her family founded Cherry Street Coffee House, a historic Seattle coffee company, where she developed her love for coffee at a very young age. She has honed her expertise in the areas of education and retail operations and currently oversees both at Coffee Business, a fast paced startup that owns beloved NW brands like Water Ave and See See Motor Coffee. Laila served for 5 years on the Barista Guild Executive Council and won the prestigious title of United States Barista Champion in 2014. She lives on a small farm in SW Washington with her husband, three kids, and a bunch of chickens.
