After studying film in Mexico City, Daniel began to travel the world, documenting stories as diverse as shamanic practices in México or walking 500 miles crossing Spain doing the Way of Saint James. Working at a wine bar in Madrid, and later as Tasting Room Manager at Texas’ Spicewood Vineyards, Daniel discovered that he enjoyed teaching others about wine just as much as he loves drinking it. Nothing makes Daniel happier than knowing that Mezcal is as diverse and exciting as the world of wine. Now based in Oaxaca, Daniel feels passionately that mezcal is an incredible lens through which he is able to teach others about Mexico's culture and traditions. Daniel feels it is his responsibility to share the history and the mythology of the beautiful world that is behind the sacred drink of mezcal. Daniel is a certified Mezcalier, certified Sommelier, and an Airbnb Top 10% World-Class Host.
