Chewi Lockhart is the Assistant Director of the Holmes Convocation Center at Appalachian State University and oversees the App Elite program; a student-run event staffing team of over 200 students that supports campus-wide events. With more than 30 years of experience in venue operations and live event management, Chewi brings a practical, student-centered approach to workforce development. He holds a Master’s in Arts Administration and is a Certified Venue Professional (CVP), committed to helping students gain real-world experience and build clear pathways into the venue industry.
