Michael has been the Director of the University Center since 2003. He previously has positions at the the Stephen C. O'Connell Center and the Macon Centreplex. He earned his CVE designation in 2019. Michael has over 30 years of military experience in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring in 2017 as a Colonel. He deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield & Storm (90-91), Operation Iraqi Freedom 03, Operation Iraqi Freedom 04, & Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) 2011-2012.
