Dacquiri Baptiste is a seasoned arts professional with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She spent 19 years with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, rising from Merchandise Manager to Director of Production. In 2019, she became Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of the Orpheum Theatre Group in Memphis, TN, where she leads operations and strategy, with a strong focus on capital planning and project execution. Dacquiri serves as Vice Chair of the Performing Arts Committee for the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM). She is also an Associate Member of the Broadway League and a graduate of the LACNA BIPOC Executive Leadership program. She serves on the boards of the Downtown Memphis Commission, the National Center for Choreography at the University of Akron, and Collage Dance Collective. In 2023, she completed a nonprofit leadership program at Harvard’s Kennedy School. Dacquiri lives in Germantown, TN with her husband and two children. She believes the arts are a vital part of life and is dedicated to building a more inclusive and visionary future for the field.
