Jana Brooks is the Customer Experience Manager for Visit Baltimore, the convention and visitor bureau of her hometown of Baltimore, MD. In that role, Jana is the liaison between definite convention clients and the city’s hotels and attractions as they plan their conferences. Previously, she was the Operations Manager for the newly renovated CFG Bank Arena where she oversaw the janitorial, maintenance, and changeover teams through the reopening. Prior to that, Jana was the Manager of Events and Tenant Services for the Maryland Stadium Authority – owner/operators of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, the B&O Warehouse. Ms. Brooks was responsible for the planning and execution of all exterior events on the 85-acre Camden Yards Sports Complex, facilitating the operational and maintenance needs of the office tenants within the 300,000+ square feet of the Warehouse. She was also in charge of overhauling the sustainability efforts across the Complex which led to LEED Gold and Silver status for Oriole Park and the Warehouse, respectively, as well as maintaining responsibilities surrounding the Orioles and Ravens home games and special events – to include managing the COVID Mass Vaccination site. Jana received her bachelor’s in business and marketing from the University of Baltimore. She has also completed a Sports Management certification from Columbia University and The George Washington University Event Management Certificate program. Ms. Brooks is active in the Green Sports Alliance (GSA) and Black Sports Professionals (BSP) DMV Chapter. She also enjoyed her role as the Director of Region 1 and member of the Governance Committee within the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) where she earned her Certified Venue Professional (CVP) designation in June 2018. Finally, Jana is a member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Maryland chapter and earned her LEED Green Associate designation in June 2023.
