Ken Paul
Executive Director
Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority

Ken Paul serves as Executive Director of the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority (FCCFA), where he leads the management and strategic direction of Columbus’s premier venues and visitor infrastructure – including the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Hilton Columbus Downtown, Nationwide Arena, and six parking facilities. Since his appointment in 2024, Ken has launched a comprehensive facilities assessment and led a restructuring of FCCFA’s debt portfolio – unlocking over $100 million for reinvestment in convention center improvements. He is currently advancing a major public-private reinvestment strategy to modernize Nationwide Arena, ensuring it remains a top-tier destination for sports and entertainment. Before joining FCCFA, Ken spent two decades in senior leadership roles in Columbus city government. As Chief of Staff to Mayor Andrew J. Ginther, he guided the administration through major challenges and opportunities – including the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, police reform, and the investment of federal recovery funds. He played a pivotal role in securing public support to keep Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew in the city, and in advancing transformative economic development projects, including Intel’s $20 billion semiconductor investment and The Ohio State University’s Innovation District. Ken previously held senior positions in Columbus City Council and has deep experience in public safety, infrastructure, economic development, and intergovernmental affairs. He began his career as a senior aid in the Ohio Senate and worked in governmental affairs for a professional association. He is deeply involved in the community, including service on the boards of Columbus Arena Management, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and the North Market Development Authority.
