Monty brings over 25 years of experience from his time in venue management, amateur sports, college athletics and professional sports. He joined OVG in 2018 as the Director of Business Development prior to heading up the Savannah Operations in 2019. Monty has worked with the Arizona Coyotes, Arizona Cardinals, SEC Baseball & Volleyball Championships, Copa America Centenario USA, Super Bowl XLIX, NCAA College Football National Championship, CSU Cougars Athletics, USC Gamecock Athletics, Arena Football League and NC State Wolfpack Athletics. In recent years, Monty has been awarded NC State University Alumnus of the Year for the Department of Parks, Recreation, Tourism & Sports Management, SportsEvent Magazine Readers’ Choice for Park and Recreation Leader to Watch and VenuesNow All-Star. Also in 2022, he was nominated for Venue Executive of the Year by IEBA. In his current role as OVG's General Manager of Enmarket Arena and Johnny Mercer Theatre, he and his team have shepherded some of the best events to Savannah and the southeast. He has been an advocate for community service and involvement throughout his career with encouraging staff to engage in their community with initiatives they are passionate about.
