Elizabeth Parks Prout

Dr. Elizabeth Parks Prout received her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College, her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the Western Campus of Tufts University School of Medicine. She went on to simultaneously complete a Nutrition Fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and to receive her Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She is board certified as a Pediatrician, a Physician Nutrition Specialist and in Obesity Medicine. She has served as the Medical Director for the combined Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania Adolescent Bariatrics program since 2012. She is an attending physician of the Healthy Weight Program of The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and conducts research in health disparities as it pertains to childhood obesity, medication management of childhood obesity, and the optimization of digital health in adolescent obesity prevention and treatment.
